How to Find Profitable Niche Markets

By Alex Whalley Alex_Whalley

This is my step by step process to finding the right Keyword for my next site or promotion, and the steps I take to make sure it will be a profitable promotion, using only the free tools available on the web.

This started as a post about the entire Keyword Research Process that I follow, but 3000 words in I am realising that perhaps a series of posts are in order. So without further ado I give you…

Step 1: Finding a niche market
If you already have a product or service in mind then you can skip this step, but I would still recommend that you run your product through this process anyway because it will provide valuable insight into that particular niche market – as you will soon see. Read more

Article Marketing – How to Utilize Your Keywords

It’s a well known fact that article writing is a powerful and working instrument to drive traffic to your main site; and if you post your work on your own site you will also ad unique and fresh content to your blog. By leaving your link in your author’s box you will also gain backlinks and visibility. But just writing an article will not deliver the desired results unless you heed a very important advice.

On a recent post in one of my favourite forums I have seen a young lady complaining: Even after writing 3 articles she still didn’t see any subscribers to her list. I took the time and replied it takes a lot more than just three articles and included a few places were, after her article got approved, she should manually submit it to in order to gain some extra momentum. Article Writing – How to Optimize Your Results

If done correctly, your articles are picked up by the major search engines and will often outrank your main site in the SERPS, your search engine result pages. This happens to me quite often, because it’s a bit easier to optimize one article in regards of keywords as it is with a whole website.

You should take the time and read the Ezine guide to writing better articles and to get to know their guidelines and general policy. Your headlines should already include your major keywords and the first paragraph should entice your readers to keep on reading to get to the end of your article, where your author box is located and your link. 10 Reasons why the discipline of article writing is necessary for any internet marketer

The hardest part about writing, is getting one’s self to actually start writing.  Most writers usually hate to write but love it when they have finished writing.  To be able to escape this process, what some writers do is procrastinate.

Having this attitude really does not get anything done.  One of the basic reason why some think this way is because they are afraid to fail.  They also put tremendous pressure upon themselves, thinking that whatever writing that they should do and produce must be brilliant. Read more

Especially if you are new to Internet Marketing and if you are working from home, all by yourself, it is a very good idea to belong to a Membership site or at least to a good forum covering the many issues of an internet based business.

I have seen lots of my peers starting a business, put up their sites or blogs and wonder what to do now. This is not about the many traffic generating activities, but about self confidence and a little slap on your shoulder once in a while.

Sometimes I see posts in a forum where people ask their fellow members to go visit a site and leave a comment. Since its a common phenomenon that nobody likes to be the first one leaving a comment, this is a good way to encourage your mates on the forum to do so. Read more

Internet Marketing – How to Use Comments on Your Blog

Lets say you got a blog on a popular niche, your content is fresh and unique and you add articles and posts on a regular basis. It won’t take too long for the first comments to show up and waiting for your approval or moderation. For security reasons I believe you should set up your blog in such a way that you will have to manually approve comments before they show up on your blog.

Many of these comments will have to be deleted right away; blog spamming seems to be a very common these days.

A good comment – simply put – makes sense, adds real information to your post and your readers and maybe a little praise, which won’t hurt. It also includes the website’s url of the commenter and his email address. And last not least, it should come from a site that relates to your own business. Maybe you got a blog on Home Security promoting alarm solutions, so a comment from a site covering household insurance is a good source, because the themes are related and a comment makes sense. Today I would like to address a little “secret” on both article ideas and building backlinks to your site. It’s quite simple, but effective nevertheless. I am talking about Internet Marketing Forums and the information found right there. If you visit your forum(s) on a daily basis you will find plenty of questions being asked and the answers to go along with them.

First, this will give you practical ideas for your article writing. Pick the questions and the answers and write a little piece around the issue. This way your articles will be Hands On, addressing real issues that real people have, and your article will provide useful and valuable information. Read more

Forum Marketing – How to Avoid Major Mistakes

You might have come across the term of Forum Marketing, and the idea sounds appealing to you. Like all you need to do is going to your forum and strut your stuff, so to speak. You will need to be careful, though, or you might get hurt.

Most forums have rules in place, and they do so for a reason. Forums are great for anybody with questions to ask or warnings to post. Real people are asking fro real help. These things are serious for the members of any given forum. Forums are monitored and administrated by senior members with a good knowledge of the subject at hand and with a very good standing in their community.

They need to keep their forum “clean” and hate to be misused. Read more
